Why aren't the prices listed in the descriptions for bridal makeup services?
Because every bridal client need is different, all rates must be requested through email for anything bridal. In that email, please include all of the main details (venue location, date, number of people needing makeup, etc). The pricing depends on your answers to those wedding details I requested.
Why are bridal rates higher than regular makeup rates?
Good question! So a wedding is probably one of the most important days of one's life. You would want to hire the best team to get all of the details of your big day right with as little frustration as possible. With that being said, I take bridal makeup very seriously. The makeup in your pictures MUST be flawless. I am sure you would want it that way as well. As artists, we take more time on bridal clients and we use different products. Bridal makeup is more about the total package than just makeup. It's about your experience with me, my commitment to your big day as well as your makeup.
Why do brides cost more than the rest of the bridal party?
Simply put, brides require more time and effort. The bride will always get at least an hour to an hour and a half with me no matter what. It's an artist's priority to make sure that the bride is perfect. She will be photographed more than anyone else that day.
Is booking a trial mandatory?
Short answer, yes. On most wedding days, time goes by EXTREMEly fast so we will not have time to waste. Booking a trial will eliminate any issues the day of so we can swiftly move through your makeup and you can enjoy your day.
Where is your studio located?
My studio is located on the East End of Henrico County (Richmond, VA) near the Fairfield-Henrico County Public Library. Once you have booked your appointment, I will email you my address within 48 hours of your appointment time. Please be on the lookout for this email as you will be asked in that email confirm receipt.
Can I bring someone with me?
NO. Please do NOT bring anyone with you to your appointment. No boyfriends/husbands, no cousins, kids, best friends, etc. If you don't drive, your ride will need to stay outside or drop you off/pick you up. Having someone else in my space while I am working diverts my attention away from you, as the paying client. If there is someone interested in learning my techniques, they can email me to set up a one-on-one lesson for a fee. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Do you offer a "just eyes" package?
Do I have to take a "before" picture?
Absolutely not! I appreciate when clients allow me to take those pictures because it allows potential clients to see what kind of transformation I am capable of if given the opportunity. However, they are not mandatory.
I have allergies. Do you need to know this?
YES! I need to know if you have any makeup related allergies. For instance, if you are allergic to latex, I would need to use an alternative lash glue on your lashes. If you fail to mention it and you have a reaction, I cannot be held responsible legally. Even if you're not sure if you're allergic but you've had some type of irritation with certain products, please let me know.
I would rather you travel to me for my appointment? How should I proceed?
I have two bookable online options for traveling appointments. These appointments are higher because of traveling costs. Mileage will be billed to the client separately as well as any costs incurred because of travel (i.e. tolls, parking fees, etc.)
There's a date that I want but that day is blocked for booking. What should I do?
Because of my personal schedule, there will be certain times and/or days blocked for booking. However, there are times when I can accomodate you. You can just send me an email or fill out the "Contact Me" form on this site. Please include all of the details of what you need in the email or on the form.
Do you have experience doing makeup with all races?
YES! I have done makeup for women of every shade, race, ethnicity, etc. For pictures of my work, please check out my galleries on this site as well as my Instagram and Facebook page.
I had an appointment, but I need to cancel last minute. Is my deposit refundable?
NO! If you need to cancel your appointment, you may cancel your appointment within 48 hours of your appointment time. However, the deposit paid is NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE under any circumstances.
How far in advance can I book an appointment?
My calendar will allow you to book an appointment within 30 days in advance. If you would like to book a date greater than 30 days in advance, please send me an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Can I pay my balance with cash?
No. All payments can be made via credit/debit card.
Do I need to get my eyebrows done before service?
Yes, that would be much appreciated. However, it is not mandatory. Brows frame your entire face. If your brows are not done, it will take away from your final makeup look.
I'm running behind and I know I'll be late for my appointment. Is there a late fee?
Yes, there is an automatic late fee of $25 that will be added to your balance if you're more than 10 minutes late to your appointment. After 15 minutes and no communication, you will be considered a no call, no show, you will not be able to book with me again and you will be charged the balance for the appointment.
If I bring my own lashes or products, will the price for services decrease.
No, the price will not change no matter what you decide to bring of your own.
Can you come on set for a photo shoot?
I most certainly can. Just keep in mind, there is a higher cost for traveling appointments.
How do you charge for photo shoots?
Short answer - it depends. Please email me withall of the details of your shoot. For instance, I need to know if you need multiple people serviced or if you want more than one look, etc...
How has your sanitation standards changed since the pandemic started?
Great question. Fortunately, I have always maintained a clean, sanitized work environment. However, with the present situation, I have added a few more safeguards to protect my clients and myself.
What new sanitation safeguards should potential clients expect upon arrival to your studio and/or on-location work space?
- Clients should wear a mask upon entering my studio or work space. The client will take off the mask once the skin products need to be applied.
When do you plan on opening back up?
I hope to begin servicing clients again early June 2020. However, the actual date will be announced when the Governor give us a date for reopening personal care services. Please keep checking my site and/or my Instagram page for reopening announcements.
I booked an appointment and paid a retainer fee/deposit prior to the pandemic surge. What happens to my retainer fee?
Your retainer is good for one reschedule date up to one year after the original appointment date. Please ensure my availability before you change your plans because the retainer is NON-REFUNDABLE but transferrable (once).
Do any of your products contain nut oils?
Yes! Please be aware that all of my lipsticks and glosses contain almond oil and coconut oil.
Have any of the ingredients in your products been tested on animals?
Absolutely not! Please note - ALL of my products are cruelty free.
Are the ingredients in your products vegan?
Almost all of the ingredients in my products are vegan. Please check the item's description before purchasing.
How do I prevent my lips drying out from the matte liquid lipsticks?

How long will your lip products last?
My lip glosses and liquid lipsticks have shelf life of one year once opened.
Can I return my order if I'm not satisifed?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of these products, all orders are final sale. No returns or exchanges will be permitted - no exceptions. However, if you are unhappy about your purchase, please email me your concerns at email@example.com.
